Sound Blaster 1080 in Ubuntu 9.10

Set up ALSA for these settings

Edit the ALSA config files using your favorite editor. For example:

 $ sudo nano /etc/asound.conf

And edit it to match this:

   pcm.!default {
       type hw
       card 1
       device 1
   }
